Recently five Jamaicans who are presently contracted to various Lion King touring companies met up in Kingston for an opportunity to share their experiences. During this time a number of Jamaicans have performed as members of the cast for various touring companies all over the world. Renowned Jamaican-born Garth Fagan choreographed the hit production which has been running at theatres globally since 1994.
Jamaica has had a long history with the award-winning Disney musical The Lion King.
